  • Reviewing and analysing purchasing or sourcing requests.
  • Coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Processing purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.
  • Participating in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, including part parameters, quote table maintenance, supplier database information, part numbers and supplier code information.
  • Supporting sourcing programs for engineering materials, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) items.
  • Performing cost analyses for major commodities (materials, components, equipment and services).
  • Monitoring the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate the highest quality at the best value.
  • Developing new supply sources when vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
  • Recommending cost savings proposals, including substitutions or alternative sourcing.
  • Interacting closely with suppliers and customer QA to resolve quality issues.
  • Working with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trend assessments, pricing and product availability.
  • Performing spend analyses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Reviewing policies and contracts to identify opportunities and improvements.
  • Creating RFX and sending to suppliers.
  • Following up with suppliers for response submissions.
  • Driving contract negotiations / renegotiations.
  • Providing supplier performance analyses for key suppliers.
  • Ensuring compliance, reporting and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinating with users for dependencies and escalating as required.
  • Collecting market intelligence.
  • Ensuring SLAs are measured and met.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve service related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Domain or Consumer Packaging for Food Industries.
  • Exposure to maintenance, repair and operations (MRO).
  • Must have good working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Experience in any ERP system.
  • Should have knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Access.
  • Problem resolution skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Six Sigma.
  • Able to work 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
