Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Risk Committee to ensure the business operates in a compliant manner.
  • Ensuring business operations comply with external regulatory requirements, professional standards and internal policies.
  • Ensuring all business activities are carried out within the regulatory framework.
  • Advising on potential opportunities to be gained through regulatory change.
  • Helping the business to mitigate fraud.
  • Identifying any trends or new risks to the business and making recommendations to the Committee in respect of any remedial action required.
  • Supporting the Committee with the creation, improvement and implementation of compliance and risk policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing and approving all marketing materials and products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Being responsible for any other activities as assigned by senior management.
  • Initiating activities to support good corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Handling customer complaints related to regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating with regulators concerning regulatory compliance matters.
  • Formulating and developing compliance tools to support the role of compliance, covering training, monitoring and advice.
  • Overseeing ad-hoc assignments to ensure tasks are completed in line with pre-determined objectives, in a timely manner.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a Compliance role within Banking or Financial Services.
  • Strong knowledge of government regulations.
  • Good command of English.
  • Proven leadership, analytical and negotiation skills.
