Job Description


The Production Manager will report directly to the Production General Manager and will be responsible for the following key functions.

  • Monitoring production and scheduling to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Coordinating with the production supervisor's & line leaders to ensure that schedules are met, and, scheduling training for all production personnel to ensure job competency.
  • Ensuring that all machines are running at rated speed.
  • Providing support to management in meeting timetables for new product development.
  • Ensuring products produced conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Submitting needed and required reports punctually.
  • Assessing the status of machines and coordinating with Maintenance accordingly.
  • Working with and continuously improving scrap levels from manufacturing.
  • Ensuring all products on the shop floor are tagged containing all identification and information.
  • Ensuring that all personnel exercise standards (5S, ISO/TS16949, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, TPM, QCC, CCCF, CSR and Code of corporate Ethics) in their area and work station.
  • Continuously supporting the compliance of both Quality and Environment, Health and Safety and Management System policies and procedures.
  • Continuously improving quality, customer service and plant performance to meet BPB Best Practice KPI’s and plant annual objectives.    
  • Managing and controlling all production related costs through BOM, budget, and variance analysis.           
  • Developing and implementing a progressive variable cost reduction program.
  • Coordinating with the inventory in-charge to make sure weekly and monthly cycle counts and annual inventory counts are accurate and reliable.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the implementation of savings programs.
  • Ensuring the investigation of corresponding disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Participating in the interview process for hiring production personnel.
  • Proposing MP (Management Plan) then managing and controlling after approval.
  • Performing various other duties as assigned by the supervisor which are considered beneficial to the company.


  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or any related field.
  • At least 10 years manufacturing operations experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing and 5 years’ experience at management level.
  • Good exposure and knowledge of production cycle times.
  • Technical experience in continuous improvement programs such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 6 Sigma is essential.
  • Highly developed and problem solving skills with a proven ability to teach.
  • A good teamwork approach, communication, planning and organising skills.
  • Able to travel up country and overseas, outgoing with a friendly personality.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
