Our client’s company is a well-established chemical manufacturing business that has been operating for more than 30 years. The company is now seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Production Manager.

Job Description:

  • Planning and organizing production schedules, re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary and communicating to related departments
  • Overseeing production processes
  • Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Managing human and material resources to meet production targets
  • Assessing project and resource requirements
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
  • Setting and monitoring product quality standards
  • Working out and implementing standard operating procedures for production operations
  • Implementing and enforcing quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
  • Preparing and maintaining production reports
  • Estimating production costs and setting production budgets
  • Supervising the work of junior staff
  • Organizing relevant training sessions
  • Ensuring implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Implementing cost control programs
  • Monitoring and reviewing the performance of staff and organizing necessary interventions for improvement
  • Ensuring efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution, customer service and management


  • Aged between 40 – 50 years old
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Experience at the managerial level of at least 5 years
  • Experience in continuous production process is an advantage
  • Experiences using DCS program is advantageous
  • Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, TQA, Six Sigma will be beneficial
  • Good command of English
  • Strong leadership, people management, communication and organizational skills.
