Our client is a foodprocessing manufacturer and food service provider. The company has been supporting customers with a wide range of high quality products for over 50 years. The company is now searching for a suitable candidate for the position of Production Manager (Ready to Cook Meat & Vegetables).

Job Description: 

  • Being responsible for the production process of ready to cook meat & vegetables.
  • Overseeing the production process, planning and organising production schedules and organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
  • Estimating, negotiating and agreeing to budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
  • Ensuring that the production is cost effective and setting quality standards for production.
  • Monitoring the production processes, cost control and waste control.
  • Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
  • Monitoring product standards, implementing quality-control programs and determining quality control standards.
  • Liaising with different departments, including suppliers, buyers, sales, marketing, R&D, quality, warehouse and logistics.
  • Working with the management team to implement the company's policies and goals.
  • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Assessing project and resource requirements.
  • Being involved in and making decisionson selecting, ordering and purchasing materials.
  • Supervising and evaluating performance of the Production Team.
  • Reporting directly to the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Maleorfemale,age 35 – 40 yearsold.
  • Bachelor'sdegreeorhigher in Food Productionor related field.
  • Minimumof12 years of experiencein fresh food, meat & vegetable production or food processing.
  • Must have experience of leadership in a management role.
  • Excellent understanding of processed food, food quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Deep knowledge and solid experience in food production management.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Extensive experience in ingredientandflavourapplications.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Provenability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
  • Must beservice minded,proactiveandhavetheabilityto perform well under pressure.
