Our client’s company is a family enterpriseThey specialise in the development, breeding, selection, processing and packaging of potato productsThey provide frozen and chilled potato products to an international market. They are now seeking a Technical / Quality Support Manager to join their team.

Job Description:

  • Overseeing cutting for customers, including distributors, food service key accounts and international QSR accounts and their franchisees.
  • Handling complaints in direct cooperation with customers (supporting sales where required).
  • Ensuring proper process flows are in place concerning customer care and that all internal and external responses are made in a timely manner.
  • Consulting and agreeing with marketing on structural technical product improvement needs.
  • Supporting new product development requests from a technical perspective.
  • Providing distributors and end users training on assessments and their technical requirements, advising end users on best practices and sponsoring food safety.
  • Aligning packaging requirements/declarations with local and latest legislative requirements(food and import regulationsto ensure legal compliance.
  • Preparing monthly area reports regarding quality performance.
  • Communicating in advance any possible issues due to crop changes.
  • Observing technical trends and customer requirement demands in the market.
  • Initiating portfolio suggestions in cooperation with marketing.


  • At least 5 years of experience in a QA role from a food manufacturer, distributor or end-user.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science / Technology.
  • Willing to learn the business.
  • Adaptable to change (raw material variations).
  • Clear verbal and written communicator.
  • Able to connect with people from different cultures and different hierarchical positions.
  • Good negotiation skills with the ability to close all aspects of an agreement.
  • An engaging presenter.
  • Able to meet all deadlines.
  • Able to take initiative, and work independently or as part of a small team.
  • Entrepreneurial.
  • English communication skills are required; ability to speak Chinese is a strong advantage.
  • International experience is an advantage.
  • Able to travel.
